A Summer with Mark’s Gospel
Summer All-Age Resources
This summer
go on an adventure
through the Gospel of Mark.
Whether you’re at home, on holiday, or gathering as a church, these resources are designed to help children and families keep reading, exploring, and wondering about God’s Word throughout the summer.
Our Illustrated Mark’s Gospel is full of striking images that help you engage with the text, bringing the stories of Jesus to life.
The full text of Mark’s Gospel is taken from the New International Reader’s Version of the Bible, using shorter sentences and simpler words. This makes it ideal for all readers including early readers, readers whose first language is not English, or those who find reading difficult.
Alongside the full text and illustrations, there are also helpful additional pages, including a map and explanations of words that may be unfamiliar.
Each chapter ends with a Ponder Page, giving space to think about what has happened in that chapter.
Wherever you are this summer, Wonder Walks - Mark invites you to walk through the story of Jesus as found in Mark’s Gospel.
Wonder Walks is a genuine all-age interactive handbook to help you read, think, and talk about the Bible as you walk together.
The eight walks in the book take you through the life of Jesus — from his baptism to his death and resurrection — all as told in Mark’s Gospel.
Adventures With Mark is a free downloadable resource containing all the ideas you need to run four children’s activity sessions based on the book of Mark.
Designed to work with groups of children of all ages, they include instructions for telling the story, activities to explore the story together and suggestions to help children connect with God through the story.
Make-Your-Own Bags of Discovery
With all the inspiration you need and clear instructions for how to make your bags, this resource makes it easy for you to help families engage with the gospel of Mark together.
It’s as simple as printing the cards and placing them into a bag alongside some intriguing and fun additional items (we’ve told you what to include but you’ll need to provide the bag and the additional items).
