Feeding the 5000

Explore the story of the Feeding of the 5000 as you play and learn together

Use these resources:

  • Explore miracles as part of the RME curriculum. As the children explore the account of Jesus miraculously feeding over 5000 people with only 5 loaves and 2 fish, we discover a miracle of Jesus. What is a miracle? Do we believe miracles can happen? 
  • To discuss how we show compassion and care for others. Children can be gently challenged, whatever our religious beliefs should we show compassion? How can we care for others? 
  • To link across the curriculum. You could make some bread or show practical care for others, perhaps by collecting for a foodbank.
