—In Haiti, every day feels uncertain. Streets echo with unrest, families struggle to find stability, and children often carry fears far bigger than their years. Yet in the middle of all this turmoil, something gentle and bright is breaking through. God’s Word is reaching young hearts through the Bible Society in Haiti.
When the team visited Zoé’s school, we never expected such a small voice to carry such hope. Just eight years old. Zoé’s excitement reminded us why this work matters so deeply.
“Reading the Bible Makes Me Feel Safe and Happy”
Life around Zoé is not easy. But when she opens her Bible, something changes.
“I love reading The Family Bible in 100 Steps,” Zoé says, her voice filled with delight. “My brother and I read it together and Mummy helps us with the exercises at the end. The activities are so much fun. They teach us about God and how much He loves us.”
For Zoé, these moments are more than reading. They are moments of peace, moments when fear loosens its grip.
“When we read the Bible together, I feel close to my family,” she says softly. “I feel happy… and safe.”
Light in a Dark Place
During school visits, our team sees something remarkable happen. Rooms once filled with anxiety begin to fill with laughter. Children learn about compassion, honesty, and kindness, values that Haiti desperately needs.
And children like Zoé are soaking up every word.
