Lipi’s Story: From Darkness to Light Through God’s Spoken Word

In a small rural community in Bangladesh, life changed forever for Lipi Baroi, a 42-year-old widow and mother of two, when tragedy struck. The sudden death of her husband left her heart shattered and her life in turmoil.

“I Felt Lost, Mentally Broken, and Without Direction”

“After losing my husband, I faced overwhelming struggles—raising children alone, financial hardships, and social criticism. I felt lost, mentally broken, and without direction.”

Lipi’s pain was deep. Like most widows, she wondered how she would survive, how she would care for her children, and whether life would ever feel whole again. which left her heart shattered and her life in darkness

A New Beginning Through God’s Word

However, things began to change when she joined a Bible listening group. Listening to God’s Word and later receiving her own Bible brought her comfort, strength, and peace. She says the Bible helped her believe that God is always with her, and this faith gave her the courage to face life again.

The Bible Became Her Light

Reading the Bible daily became a source of guidance and healing for Lipi. It helped her remain calm, make wise decisions, and grow stronger emotionally and spiritually. Where people once saw her as weak, they now respect her for her strength and transformation.

Her favourite verse is Isaiah 41:10:

“Do not fear, for I am with you.”

Today, she sees the Bible as the light of her life and thanks the Bible listening (End2End) project for giving her hope and a renewed sense of purpose. Lipi’s story is a powerful testimony of how God’s Word transforms lives even in the darkest moments.
