Thanks to the commitment and generosity of our supporters, the Scottish Bible Society is acharity that helps individuals and communities in over 200 countries and territoriesaround the world receive Bibles in a language they understand and in a format they can use. We are creative in supporting churches in Scotland to keep the Bible central andencourage meaningful engagement to deepen encounters with God. The range ofprojects we either initiate here or support around the world is extensive. Teaching people to read using the Bible, helping to heal the wounds of trauma in Bible-based support groups and ensuring Bibles are kept affordable in rapidly growing churches are just a few examples of transformative projects we support

If you are passionate about the transformational impact of the Bible, we have an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser to lead, manage and deliver the fundraising strategy and activities of SBS. We are seeking someone to help develop and grow relationships, networks and communication channels to advance the work and objectives of SBS across all types of existing and potential new supporters.

The role leads the Fundraising ministry of SBS. You will be articulate, have strong influencing skills and proven stakeholder management skills to work with all levels of staff in the organisation. This is a senior role in an organisation with a strong Christian ethos, therefore there is an occupational requirement that the post holder is a practising Christian.

Summary of the Post

  • Full-time role based at Bible House, Edinburgh near Haymarket train station.
  • Out of normal business hours or occasional weekend work may be required, with time off in lieu in return.
  • Salary depending on experience.
