Be part of the answer to someone’s prayer for
a Bible

Imagine waiting years
praying and longing for a Bible

Imagine whispering prayers in the dark,
pleading with God to provide his Word. But still…nothing.

Right now, we have 253,000 Bibles and New Testaments ready to cross into Iran but without your help,
Bibles like these for Iran and many other countries, may never reach the people who need them most.

You can be part of that answer. You could help end that wait today.

15

or more countries globally still have Bible restrictions in place making it difficult to own a Bible.

$5

A $5 Bible would cost more than two days’ income for over 700 million people living on less than $2.15 per day.

1.5 billion

People still waiting for Bible translations in their own language.

“It helped me come to faith in God.
I survived because of that faith.”

Algerian Woman 2

An Algerian Woman’s Long Wait for Truth

A veiled woman in Algeria trembled as she spoke to Rezki from the Algerian Bible Society.  “I saw a man in white place his hands on my head,” she whispered. “I didn’t know who he was.” That night, he appeared again. This time, she recognised him:  Jesus. She had never read a Bible. She didn’t even know what Christians believe. Yet, God was pursuing her heart.

Days later, strangers told her, “Find Rezki at the Bible Society.”  She longs for Scripture, just as the first-ever Bible in her language has been completed. But there’s a problem: the government hasn’t approved its import.

The Bibles wait. She waits.

Right now, countless believers like her are waiting and praying for a Bible of their own. In places where access is blocked, poverty is rife and printing is impossible. The wait can feel endless. But your gift can be the answer. You can help place a Bible into her hands, and into the hands of so many still waiting.

Yasser Iran

Yasser: The Name of Jesus Through A Wall

Yasser wasn’t looking for God. He wasn’t searching for faith. He was just a young man in Iran, recovering from a broken arm, when he started hearing something unusual. Through the thin walls of his apartment, he kept hearing one name: Jesus.
Day after day, voices in his neighbour’s home spoke the name of Jesus. One day, curiosity got the better of him. He knocked on the door. Inside, a group of believers were praying — not just for their own needs, but for their neighbours. Including him.
That knock changed everything.

They welcomed him in. They gave him a New Testament.
He opened it. He read it. And something stirred deep inside. Fascination turned into faith. But in Iran, Bibles are almost impossible to find. Even now, thousands of believers like Yasser are still waiting — praying — for their own copy of God’s Word.

Right now, 253,000 Bibles and New Testaments are ready to cross into Iran. They’re waiting — just like Yasser once was. But there, and in many other countries, without your help, Bibles may never reach the people who need them most.

Will you help send a Bible to someone waiting for God’s Word?

Vitaly Old Man

Two years of waiting. Two years of searching. Two years of feeling spiritually weak.

Vitaliy has been on the front lines in Ukraine since 2014. He’s a veteran soldier, a man of great courage. Even after suffering terrible injuries — one hand left mangled beyond use — he still serves his country, now as a tanker driver. But for two years, he was missing something more vital than a weapon: his Bible. “I used to read it every day, especially the Psalms,” he told a Ukrainian Bible Society Chaplain. “It helped me come to faith in God. I survived because of that faith.”

The Bible he once carried was lost during an ambush. As bullets tore through the air, as explosions rocked his unit, his Bible was swept away. For two long years, he prayed for another one.

Imagine playing your part in their transformation
by ensuring that every one of them
has access to the Scriptures.

Will you help end the waiting and help answer prayers — from Scotland to Ukraine, from Iran to Algeria, and everywhere that people are waiting? Waiting for the chance to read the words that will change their lives. Waiting for the book that will give them hope, strength, and eternal truth as they encounter Jesus Christ. Right now, thousands of others are waiting — longing for the life-changing power of God’s Word. Your gift today can end that wait. Your support can help share the Bible and place it into the hands of someone like Vitaliy, Yasser, or the woman in Algeria.

You may never know them — but you can be a part of the answer to their prayers.

Around the world, people are praying
to receive Bibles.

Your gift can enable their journey
of faith through the Word.

Your support will help share the Bible around the world. You can help churches distribute Bibles to new believers, empowering families, pastors and leaders to strengthen their faith and share the message of Christ.

Here’s how your gift can make a difference:

  • £35 could provide 7 people with the joy of reading their own Bible
  • £50 could provide 10 Bibles for a Bible study group
  • £175 could supply a whole Sunday school class with 35 Bibles
  • £1500 (perhaps your church or youth group could raise this as a special project)

Will you help answer someone’s prayer for a Bible?
