Scottish Bible Society is hosting a series of regional conversations with church leaders to reflect together on Bible engagement in the local church.
We’re seeing a change in public interest around the Bible. Bible sales are at record levels and there is renewed interest in church, prayer and Bible reading among younger adults. But headlines don’t tell the whole story, and they do not tell us what is happening in your church setting.
This October, we’d like you join our series of regional conversations to reflect on what you are seeing, hear a snapshot of current research, and to explore how we can listen well to what people in our churches are experiencing when it comes to the Bible.
Why attend?
Bible engagement is central to discipleship, mission, evangelism and the life of the local church. There is much to be encouraged by at this moment, but church ministry is rarely simple. Many church leaders are carrying complex questions about confidence, culture and congregational life. These regional conversations are intended to create space to reflect honestly with others, hear what is emerging more widely, and consider how together we can listen well before deciding what next steps may be most helpful.
