Walk for Bibles 2024!
Join us for the first ever Scottish Bible Society Walk for Bibles, as we take part in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on 15th September 2024.
The Kiltwalk is Scotland’s largest sponsored walk, bringing thousands of people from all over the country to walk together to raise funds for their nominated charity.
A number of SBS staff will be lacing up their walking boots and joining with volunteers to do the Kiltwalk and raise money for the Scottish Bible Society and the work we do.

There are three Kiltwalk walking lengths, each with their own registration fee payable to Kiltwalk:
- Mighty Stride 21 miles (£20 Entry Fee)
- Big Stroll 11 miles (£20 Entry Fee)
- Wee Wander 5 miles (£12.50 Entry Fee for Adults and £6.50 for Children)
So, there’s an opportunity for everyone of all ages to Walk for Bibles. (Children must be accompanied by an adult).
Signing up is easy.
1. Register for the Edinburgh Kiltwalk and pay your entry fee.
2. Let us know that you are join us for the Kiltwalk!
3. Sign up for a Justgiving page. You can then link your Justgiving page to the main SBS Walk for Bibles fundraising page. Go to the SBS fundraising page (Justgiving/walkforbibles2024) and click the ‘start fundraising’ tab. As easy as that!

By 2033 all of the world’s population, 7.4 billion people, could have access to some part of the Bible in their own language.
Currently less than half of the worlds 7,396 languages have Bible translations, but with the aid of modern technology, it’s possible for the remaining 3,710 to be given some part of the Bible by 2033.
