Get involved - make a difference!

Each school day 500 children in 9 churches/centres spread throughout Lima receive a daily meal that includes milk, fruit, rice or oats. Often it is the only meal that a child will get that day! In addition they receive a Bible story colouring book and children's Bible as well as regular Bible teaching.

Scripture Union works with some 45,000 schoolchildren at 300 locations throughout Peru. Bibles and 'Christian Values' materials are required for each child for this important work.

The schools are mainly in poor communities. As pupils learn what the Bible teaches, noticeable changes for good are taking place in their lives. For example, one aspect of this teaching is encouraging boys to respect girls and girls to have a more healthy self-esteem.
