"Large" and "Giant" print Bibles come in a variety of versions, formats and sizes from 11pt type to just 23 lines per page. Added features, like bold print and extra interlinear spacing are designed to make the Bible easier to read from a distance as well as to support readers with impaired or partial vision.
Requirements will vary according to individual needs. When purchasing a large print bible, it is often important to check that the text appears in black print throughout. Nowadays, the words of Christ in red is a common feature in many bibles, including large print editions. This, however, is unsuitable for the colourblind or readers with failing eyesight because the text tends to fade into the page.
