Today at least one part of the Bible exists in 2,454 languages - but given there are some 6,900 spoken on our planet, there's a long way to go. In fact more than 2,200 minority languages (spoken by 3% of the world's population) are considered to need translation. The 196 million people concerned deserve to understand God's message as clearly as we do!
Clapperton Mayuni, General Secretary of the Bible Society of Malawi, wrote to us recently about the continuing need for translation in Malawi and throughout Africa.
