Help Nepal's Tibetans have a fresh Old Testament

To have a translation of the Bible in your heart language is vital and is what the Bible Society movement is all about! Tibetan speakers need God's Word in present-day speech (the OT was previously translated before WW2).

Christians are now able to share their faith freely with others, but up until April 2006 this was not so, writes Tej Jirel, the General Secretary of the Nepal Bible Society:

"I was co-translator of the Jirel New Testament and involved in the revision of the Nepali New Testament. It was a challenging time as I went through a period of difficult situations and the possibility of being arrested and put in prison because of my faith and type of job! The Lord encouraged me through John 16: 33."
